Q: Plan B....??
Okay, so here is my story: My last period was on July 18 and I usually have a fairly normal 28 day cycle. About July 27 or 28 I was messing around with my bf. We did not have sex or any penetration but I got nervous that some ejaculation as it was close to me. About two hours after I went and got Plan B and took it immediatley and then took the second does twelve hours as instructed. About two days later I took another dose of Plan B after messing around again. Today (August 9) I woke feeling very dizzy like i might pass out and a little nauseated. I decided to take a urine pregnancy test which came back negative. I am very worried still. I know that it is very unlikely that I could be pregnant seeing as there was no actual penetration. I guess my question really is what is the latest anyone has had a period after taking plan b? (I still have a few days until my normal period time) Also, how long should i wait to get a blood test from the Dr.? Thank u for ur considerate answers I am aware that taking two doses was not the ideal way to go about this and I understand that it is not the same as regular birth control. This was unplanned and I do plan on starting a regular safe birth control plan. Also, from what I have read the Plan B pill is not a abortion pill, it is an emergency prevention I would appreciate encouraging and informative answers. I already know that what I have done is not ideal. Thank you.

A: people are annoying that don't answer exactly what your asking. they should waste someone else's time. i'm sure you know that taking 2 doses isn't good...thankyou captain obvious. = ] anyways. I took plan b on the 27th of July too. I wasn't due for my period till August 17th, I got it 2 days ago..7 days early. Plan B will make you feel like crap, it did it for me. I was fine the 1st 24 hrs and then 5 days later got sick. It happens definitely. It's a huge dose of hormones, and being that you took 2, I can see why your dizzy. Your not pregnant, so don't stress that or it'll make your period later. Everyone's different, you might get it soon..or might get it late. I don't think your going to have to take a blood test, being that there was NO penetration, but since you took 2 doses, you may actually not get your period. If anything you might spot, that's normal. Good luck and don't let these people get to you.

Q: plan b??????????????????
i took the plan b and i got my period 3 days after the pill. my period should be due around this time. im not pregnant right? and if im not then how late will it be? one week, 3 weeks....? and will this be forever. will i never be able to know when ill be due again?

A: Plan B is pretty heavy stuff. It'll throw off your whole schedule for a month. You should be using the birth control pill instead of relying on condoms or Vatican Roulette. You'll have a period again, but it will probably be another week or so. Don't use Plan B as a regular thing.

Q: plan B!!...............................?
how affective is plan B?

A: Plan B is effective up until 72 hrs of last conception...the quicker you use it after having unprotected sex, the better chances of it working!

Q: PLAN B!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
ok so i had sex with my boyfriend of 6 years 5 days before my supposed period. took plan b about an hour after and then the second one 12 hours after that. my cycle is usually about 30 days and my last period was april 11th. im 6 days late...did plan b fail? also my breast have been really sore, i'm breaking out, and have white discharge. have had some cramps and the sex was 7 days after my ovulation date

A: since you had sex 7 days after ovulation then mostly likey your not pregnant cause your not fertile and yes i did take plan b and it helpped me but i dont think i would of even gotten pregnant if i didnt take it cause i wasnt even ovulating but plan b did make my period like 2 weeks late even thou it says your suppose to get your period wit 1 week mines was 2 weeks late and sore breast are part of the the side effect of plan b read the back and see the sides affect or check it online and if you still think your pregnant than take a pregnancy test

Q: How many days after taking Plan B can you start to drink alcohol?
I took Plan B two days ago, and I was wondering how long it stays in your system, and when I am allowed to drink alcohol?

A: Alcohol and Plan B have nothing to do with each other. Plan B is just large amounts of birth control so u can drink alcohol whenever. Just think about it people that take birth control pills every day can drink alcohol whenever they want to, they are not restricted.

Q: What will happen if my gf took plan B and birth control 2 weeks pregnet?
My gf and I had unprotected sex hundre of times, she got prego, and we started planning are future. 2 months into her pregancy she had a miscarrige. so its been 2 weeks since then and we continued to have sex unprotected sex and has yet to have her period. Yesterday she started taking birth control and also a plan B. but she thinks she prego again cause she having the cravinings again.

A: plan be is only effective within the first 72 hours of havin unprotected sex. birth control hasn't been proven to do anything during pregnancy. and after a miscarriage its very easy to get pregnant again because everything is open and still very fertile down there so yes she is probably pregnant again and i would suggest that u go see a doc soon because i dont kno the effects of plan b during early pregnancy. hope everything works out for u:) hope i helped. and please vote for a best answer

Q: How does one differentiate between stomach pain from taking Plan B and stomach pain from an ectopic pregnancy?
Stomach pain is a typical side effect of taking Plan B but there is also a small risk for an ectopic pregnancy, which has a symptom of stomach pain. How does one tell the difference? What other symptoms would indicate an ectopic pregnancy rather than just typical side effects of Plan B? Thanks.

A: Plan B prevents pregnancy just days after the woman has sex. An ectopic pregnancy takes just as long to implant as a normal pregnancy, 7-10 days. An ectopic pregnancy has pain located mostly on one side and may move to the center of the abdomen. It's extremely tender and the woman may have nausea and dizzyness. Hope that helps.

Q: How does the Plan B pill affect your next and following periods?
Ok so I had unprotected sex on june 16, and i took the plan B pill on the 18th. I started my period on the 26 which is around the time when it was supposed to start. So it started off normal, then this morning i woke up and the blood was brown and i wasn't really bleeding anymore. Is it normal for the brown to be brown? Also, will my period be shorter? Because i usually only have brown blood near the end, but mine usually last about a week and its never this much brown blood in the first place. Also, does it affect the next periods?

A: Usually, with my personal experience, the next soonest period after you take Plan B will be a few days late and lighter than normal. By the next cycle I'm regular and my period is on time. Also, brown discharge is usually "old" blood that is being extruded from the uterus. This is usually blood that did not come out during your last period, and more than likely has nothing to do with Plano B or anything else. It's probably happened before, you just never noticed it because right now you're nervous.

Q: How well does Plan B work if taken within the first twenty four hours?
My boyfriend and I had intercourse at about eight o'clock in the morning and the condom broke during orgasm, so he did completely ejaculate in me. I immediately ran to the shower and washed out my vagina with warm water for about five or six minutes. Within the next twenty minutes, I should be taking Plan B. Is it too early to take it? And how effective is it this early? (I am hoping for a percentage.) Can anyone estimate my chances of becoming pregnant? Thank you.

A: The sooner you take it, the better. If you do it within first 24 hours, it's over 90% effective, but if you take it later, this percentage lowers dramatically every 12 hours (for example, if you took it on 3rd day after the intercourse, it would be less than 50% effective). If you took the pill, it's fine, you wont get pregnant. You may get your period early than usual or it can be a bit later than usual, but if it's more than 5 days late, take a pregnancy test. I don't think you'll need it though, you took the pill very quickly. Good luck!

Q: How does the plan B pill affect their period?
My girlfriend's regular period is at the end of the month-beginning of the next month. Last month, she took the plan b pill and got her period two weeks early.. Should her next period have been a month after the one that was two weeks early (which would've been ~ august 14) or should it be back to its regular time and coming up?

A: Most females will have a light period about a week after taking Plan B. After that, menstrual cycles can be irregular for 2-3 months, maybe more depending on her natural level of hormones.

Q: Does plan B affect the menstrual cycle that is regulated by birth control?
I am prescribed to Loestrin 24fe, a birth control that regulates my period. I took plan B one weekend after a small scare (while still on my regular birth control). I had sex a week after that (while still on my regular birth control but without the plan B this time). My question is, does plan B affect my menstrual cycle that is regulated by my birth control? I am on day 2 of my placebo pill and have yet to start my period so I am quite concerned. Thanks!

A: It's likely. It's a much larger dose than your normal birth control, so it may well overrule that and mess things up. If you take your birth control at the same time every day and never skip a pill, there is no need to take Plan B, because you'll be protected.

Q: What is the difference between the morning after pill and plan b?
I've taken the morning after pill twice 5 years ago, and I remember feeling very, very sick and experiencing very excruciating stomach pains just hours after taking the pill, not to mention bleeding for up to two weeks thereafter. It is something I definitely do NOT want to experience again. However, I had sex last night and the condom leaked and I am afraid of getting pregnant. What is the difference between the morning after pill and plan b? Will plan b give me the same kind of pains as the morning after pill? Can anyone who has taken both of these pills share the experiences? Thanks in advance.

A: Plan B is the morning after pill.

Q: What to do Plan B after and before unprotected sex?
My fiancee and myself had unprotected sex 2 days ago and she took the Plan B. Today we had unprotected sex again. I know this is not a proper form of birth control, and it was irresponsible. My question is if she should take Plan B again or will she be fine, or is there anything we should do. I know that it was not right and we will wear condoms from now on, but I need the answer please.

A: No, she will not be "fine". The Plan B pill was only good for the event two days ago, not for everything else she does for the rest of the month. The pills work primarily by delaying ovulation. But who knows for how long it will be delayed? The sperm you put inside her today will be alive for 3-7 days, and she could ovulate before they're dead. I'd advise calling her doctor first to see if it's okay to take it twice in one week, but she will probably end up having to take it again. You could have bought a boatload of condoms for what you'll end up spending on Plan B. Chances are her period will be messed up for some time to come.

Q: I just took the Plan B contraceptive. When should i start feeling the side effects?
i took the first pill of the plan b around 12 this afternoon. and its been about an hour and a half. when should i start feeling the side effects? and what would they be? any personal experiences girls?

A: I didn't start to feel anything until I took the 2nd pill. I felt a little bit naseus, sore, and very tired. Nothing serious though.

Q: does plan b still work if i drink alcohol with it?
I took the first pill of plan b during the morning of the day after (within 10 hours) then had to wait 12 hours to take the 2nd pill. In between the 1st and 2nd pill,i had about 3 beers. Will the pill still be effective?

A: hahahhahaha. SIgh.... hahahhaha. I'm sure it'll work just as well. I think it would have just made you dizzy when you took it with those beers.
